Customised Terrace Awning developed for Manchester, Spinningfields

Located in Manchester’s city center, Spinningfields was a major urban redevelopment project. Work started at the turn of the millennium to create this business, retail and residential space.

Morco’s role was to collaborate with the project architects and come up with a uniform solution to work across multiple elevations in different locations like the canal-side bar and restaurant area. The solution needed to act as a softening effect to the architecture. In the end, we developed a customised terrace awning that used our Fremantle Sepele® base with a Fremantle Parisian® as a fixed cover.
