Dutch canopies for Lowlander, Drury Lane

Dutch canopies have been a popular choice for commercial shop fronts for many years due to both their shading properties; also for the fact that the branding opportunities are three dimensional. These Dutch canopies at The Lowlander, Drury Lane, act as a prominent promotional feature on this popular venue. The detailed client text and logo branding was applied using the Morco RAGS® system of graphics application which presents a clean outline with a sharpness which is not possible using the traditional sign writing by hand.

At the end of Covent Garden, on London’s historic Drury Lane, can be found the Belgian café, Lowlander. This is an unpretentious hidden highlight amongst the West End’s drinking and dining establishments.  Providing the hospitality and warmth of the Low Countries, which is the source of the name, Lowlander is a modern, stylish and vibrant ‘grand café’ with a passion for traditional Belgian beer and has the Low Country’s food at its heart.

Drury Lane acquired its name from the Suffolk barrister Sir Robert Drury, who built a mansion called Drury House on the lane around 1500. The term "Drury Lane" is often used to refer to the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, which has, in different incarnations, been located in the street since the 17th century,
