Luxury Hotel Canopy for The Dorchester

While undergoing its phased renovation, The Dorchester commissioned Morco for one of our most opulent hotel canopies, the Manhattan Entrance Canopy. Entrance canopies are a familiar sight at some of the most famous hotels around the world, and our Manhattan Entrance Canopy provides a simplified yet lavish aesthetic, that is the perfect fit for the new public entrance at this 5-star hotel.

As a Grade II listed building, great care had to be taken during the installation, and the style of the canopy had to also pay respect to the building’s 90-year-old history. Utilising our exclusive RIB® framework, we were able to manufacture a full aluminium frame with no plastic components, for enhanced strength against adverse weather and a cleaner appearance. Furthermore, LED lighting has been installed within the canopy, providing an inviting atmosphere for customers in the evening.

The Manhattan Entrance Canopy is expertly hand-crafted in our London Thameside workshop and is the recommended choice for listed and historic buildings but is an equally sought-after solution for projects in a more contemporary setting.
