Manhattan Entrance and Folding-Arm Awnings for Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire Hotel

We have been pleased to work with Radisson Blu Hotels for many years and this stunning special entrance canopy to the Hampshire Hotel in Leicester Square is in our bespoke RIB® Manhattan design. It has a  black  fabric cover and is decorated with tasteful white branding.  We have used our RIB® technology to create a fully bespoke feature which embraces the unique style and dimensions of the fascia.  LED lights have been incorporated to the underside to create a convenient and welcome swathe of lights to welcome their guests. We have also installed two folding-arm awnings that have a very large continuous cover which is mounted in such a way that it conceals the front profile.

At the very heart of London’s West End, this imposing luxury hotel is something of a Leicester Square landmark. With the accent on contemporary elegance, luxurious fabrics and muted shades make the individually designed rooms calming and comfortable. Radisson Blu Edwardian, Hampshire's warmth and geniality belies the red-carpet glamour of its location.

Leicester Square is one of several places in the West End that puts on events relating to the Chinese New Year. The celebrations are organised by the London Chinatown Chinese Association and held on the first Sunday during the new year period. Events include music, acrobatics and dancing. In 2015, the celebrations attracted more than 1,000 participants, becoming the largest of their kind in the UK. These included lion dances, a show of the Cultures of China and a drum show. A parade ran nearby through Charing Cross Road and Shaftesbury Avenue.

The School of English operated on Leicester Square from 1992 until its closure in 2015. It taught over 25,000 students during its years of operation. The world's largest Lego store opened on 3, Swiss Court, Leicester Square in November 2016. The opening was marked by unveiling a 6-metre high model of Big Ben made out of 200,000 Lego bricks.
