New Traditional Awnings for Grounded Kitchen, Leicester

During 2020/2021 Leicester Council have been sponsoring local High Street shops to assist with the refurbishment of retail frontages and part of the permitted improvements have been for certain types of awnings. The permitted awnings are detailed within their application process and the type of awning favoured is the retractable type and especially Victorian style awnings as installed here on the Grounded Kitchen on Queens Road, Clarendon Park.

The grant scheme prioritised seven retail areas, certain parts of the city centre and vacant shop properties across the whole city.

Grounded Kitchen are established at a very visible point on Queens Road and the refurbishment has  significantly improved the aspect of this building which had previously become quite shabby looking.
