New Victorian awning at Simon Williams Estates

The Victorian  awning we have installed at Simon Williams Estate Agents in Clevedon is in an attractive shade of Admiral Blue with the company logo and text picked out in white. The clean, business like, ambience of the business was strengthened by the decision not to use a valance, which it was felt may have compromised the overall aesthetic effect of the shopfront.

Clevedon is famous for its pier, amongst other things of interest. The pier opened in 1869, it is one of the earliest surviving examples of a Victorian pier in the United Kingdom. Unfortunately on October 17, 1970, two outward spans collapsed when the seventh set of legs from the shore failed during a routine insurance load test. However, after protracted considerations a trust was formed and the pier and its terminal buildings were restored and reopened with a celebration on May 27, 1989, when the Waverley paddle steamer berthed and took on passengers.
