Special Greenwich awnings for Manahatta, Deansgate

15 Oct 2018

Manahatta is a regular client, coming back to us every time they need awnings. They do so because, at Morco, we can guarantee consistency in design and quality. As with other locations for this New York style venue the awnings are a variation on our Greenwich system with additional reinforcing bars to ensure a high cover tension and maximum durability. The consistency of branding design has been achieved with the application of graphics using our unique RAGS® digital transfer process.

Manahatta is located in a former outdoor clothing store and has been re-modelled into a New York style restaurant and bar in Deansgate, Manchester. This will be the first venture across the Pennines for the ‘Manahatta’ brand. The investment has transformed the basement and first floor of this historic building.

Manahatta is the Lenni Lenape name for Manhattan, meaning "land of many hills”. The Lenni-Lenape Indians were the  first people to live in the Mount Laurel area of the Delaware River Basin which is now South-eastern New York, eastern Pennsylvania and most of Delaware and New Jersey. The word Lenape (len-ah-pee) means "original people".
